Party Part 2

When ever I would ask Lucas what he wanted for his birthday he would tell me...birtday hats, and take, and tandles, and dames, and presents! Minus the games, he got everything else. Grandma & Grandpa Valentine came up to celebrate his birthday and brought the hats and party whistles. He was in heaven. He loves opening presents! He got a new car, a CD player, Primary Songs CD, Fun Songs, Books, Dinosaur & some money.

I had asked Lucas earlier in the day what he wanted to eat for his birthday dinner and he told me "enchiladas & pizza". We took him out for some pizza. While we were at dinner he said "I love my dinosaur and my boombox". Jed and I just looked at eachother and started laughing. When we asked him if he had had a good birthday, he said "not yet"! Funny kid.

After Jed finished putting this car together, I had to take a test drive. (It wasn't Lucas's b-day yet and he was in bed). It is the funnest little car. Lucas loves it! He rides it around the kitchen.

Party Part 1

We had a little b-day party for Lucas on Saturday the 1st. Grama Carole, Grampa Mark & Tawn came over to celebrate. Lucas was so excited to open his presents. Lucas requested pizza for lunch. I made him a tractor cake and Jed decorated it. Lucas wanted more candles on his cake. We compromised by letting him blow out the three candles...multiple times. He got some fun presents...a dinosaur book, animals, clothes, Lincoln Logs, a Wingo car, & CD of fun songs.

He's 3!

Happy Birthday Lucas! I can't believe it's been 3 years since the first time I held you in my arms. You have brought so much joy into our lives! You are so full of life and it always amazes me at how you can keep going and going without stopping. Although...as soon as your head hits the pillow at night...you are sound asleep!

You are hilarious! The darndest things come out of your mouth and it always make me smile. Just the other day, I heard you telling Kody "I so proud of you". You tell me almost daily "mom, you so bootiful"....ahhh, melts my heart! The words "I Love You" are repeated many times a day. Today when I asked you what you wanted to eat for your birthday dinner you said "enchiladas & pizza"!

You are such a good big brother. You are extremely protective of Kody, and constantly worry about him. If you hear Kody crying, you run into his room to make sure he's okay. You aren't quite convinced that you should share the toys yet!

Nursery has been a bit of a challenge for the last 6 months or so. You love to play as long as either me or your dad are in the room. Otherwise, you cry so hard you can't even breathe. We aren't sure what happened since you use to love Nursery, but we hope that you'll love Sunbeams come January.

Some of your favorite things right now are: dinosaurs, cars, pizza, mac & cheese, Scooby Do, zoo animals, pepperoni & books.

I am so glad that you are a part of our home. You are a special little boy with so much spunk. Our family wouldn't be complete without you. I love you so much!

We spent much of today at the hospital giving Reese lots of hugs and kisses. Here are some pictures.

Two Items of Business...

Reese Kalli Kesler made her debut this afternoon at 1:47. She weighed 7lbs 6ozs, but Tawn couldn't remember how long she was. I'll head over to the hospital later tonight when Jed gets home and take some pictures for all to see.

Second item...my little 4 month old is ROLLING! That's right...for the first time today he rolled from his back to his tummy. Why do they have to grow up so fast??!!

Let the Season Begin!

I hope everyone had a very enjoyable Thanksgiving. We spent it down in St. George with Jed's family. We had the dinner at Shane & Talease's new, very cute, home! The dinner was delicious and I, for one, was quite stuffed!

Jed and I got up the next morning to do a little shopping. There wasn't anything that we were dying to get from the ads so we didn't worry to much about rushing. We just needed a few things. I'm technically done shopping, but continue to still buy!! The girls went later that night when the boys returned from fishing.



On Saturday we took Lucas and Kody to see Santa. Lucas loved it! He just chit-chatted with Santa telling him how old he was and what he wanted for Christmas. Jed & Shane went golfing and Talease & I drove them around in the golf carts! Grandma & Grandpa watched the kiddos while we were gone. They have lots of fun toys that Lucas loves to play with!! We went to dinner at Samurai that night which lots of fun. Lucas was a little spooked by the fire, but loved the food! We watched the rest of the BYU game (recorded) and definitely enjoyed the outcome!

When we got home yesterday, I had Jed help me get out all the Christmas stuff. I love the Christmas decorations and the feeling this time of year brings!

And as a little off-topic side note: Tawnya is at the hospital having her baby today...YEAH! Her water broke this morning. This little girl must really love to her aunt Katie. I informed her that she had to wait until we got back so that I could visit her at the hospital! She really listened!

I can hardly wait to meet this little girl!

Can You Believe It?!

***Update...Kody's 4 month dr's appointment was today (19th).

Weight: 15lbs 14ozs (50th percentile)
Height: 25 1/2 inches (75th percentile)

With all his rolls, I would have thought he would have been in a higher percentile!




This little guy is 4 months old today! He's growing so much. Just this week he started into the 6-9 month clothes. As much as I would like him to stay little, it's always fun when they hit a new size and you get to play dress-up again with all the new duds!

He's such a good baby. He does have his little moments and he's very good at making his wishes known! But honestly...aren't we all cranky when we're tired or hungry!! He is so much fun to interact with. His smiles are so big and I just love his little giggle. He sleeps through the night, which makes his mommy really happy! He's not so fond of tummy time yet, but lasts a little bit longer each time. His big brother is always giving him hugs and kisses. We are so blessed to have him in our home. Happy 4 months...We love you so much Kody!

Hang Time

Nappy has been practicing with the UVU dunk team. Last night we went to cheer her on as she dunked at the girls basketball game. She did great! The pictures are horrible, but you get the idea. Since I was trying to take pictures, I didn't actually get to see her do it! Next time someone else can take the pictures and I get to watch!

Home, Leaves & My Little Guys

I've been needing to post these picture, but just haven't gotten around to doing it until now. The Sunday before last, me and the boys headed up to stay at my parents house for a few days. It was UEA and my mom had a couple of days off. We had such a fun time. We couldn't have asked for more perfect weather. Lucas loved playing in the leaves, driving the tractor, and helping grandpa fix boots! Kody did not like the leaves one bit..so much for a happy picture!








This is how Kody spends much of his time. I keep telling him its a horrible habit, but he seems to think his fingers are delicious!

This little boy says the darnedest things...I wish I could remember everything.

**The other night I was getting him ready for bed. He looked up at me and said "mom, you so bootiful". Awwww! Talk about melting my heart.

**He was playing with some toy animals the other day and I heard him say "don't worry, I dit you out a dere". He had put them under a box.
