Gone Fishin'

This past weekend we went to St. George to visit the Valentine's. We had a great time. Jed and his dad went fishing on Saturday. He caught 3 rainbow trout. The biggest one he caught while I was watching, so I must have been good luck!! It was 17 inches long. We'll they were fishing, we went and visited the St. George Parade of Homes. There were some very fancy homes. On Sunday, after we got home, Jed cooked his fish. I tried a little piece, but I'm still not a huge fan. Jed really liked them. I was surprised that it didn't make the house stink like fish. Lucas had a great time spending time with is grandpa & grandma Valentine.

Tomorrow is my last day of work. I have very mixed feelings. I'm so excited to be able to stay home with Lucas, but I'm going to miss my job. I work with some incredible people. They threw me a going away party today, and of course I cried. Hopefully I'll do better tomorrow, but I'm not counting on it.

Lucas is almost walking. The day care said the he walked across the room, but I prefer not to believe them until he does it for me!! He has also learned to put on his own hat (which is much to big).

It's Official...

I will be a stay-at-home mom starting on March 2nd! I am so happy. We have been able to work out everything so that I can be home with Lucas. I will be working from home for the Pearson Publishing Company. I am extremely sad to be leaving my current job, but look forward to spending more time with Lucas.
This past weekend, Jed and I went on a little "Valentine's" trip to Salt Lake. My mom watched Lucas for us. We stayed at the Little America, which was very nice. We haven't done something like that in a long time. We went to dinner and walked around the Gateway. We both developed a strong addiction to Steamer's from Starbucks! After hearing how much my sister Shara loves them, we decided to try one. They are delicious!
Jed was put in on Sunday as the 2nd Counselor in the Sunday School Presidency. He's excited about it. He's been off the hook for so long, that I'm excited for him to have a calling!!!

Sick Little Boy...

Too Cute!

What a week we have had. Lucas has been sick with an ear infection and RSV. I took him to Dr. Later on Thursday and they put him on some antibiotics. That seemed to help everything. He was instantly better! I felt so bad for him. He had a fever of 102 and constant runny nose. Dr. Later even said he looked awful. Considering how many times we have taken him to the doctor and there is nothing wrong, that was great to hear!

Today was his first day back at day care. He's been gone from it for a week. Hopefully they don't call me today and say that he's sick!!

Our weekend was pretty much spent staying home since we didn't want to take Lucas out. We did watch the Super Bowl, but were very disappointed in the ending. Oh well!

Haircut...

Lucas had is first major haircut this weekend. Jed went crazy with the clippers and now we call him our little cancer patient. His hair is sooooo short. I will have to take a picture of him and post it for all of you to see. I just wanted him to have a trim, but oh well! He's still cute as ever. I brought him to work with me today because he keeps throwing up at day care. I'm not sure what's going on. I'm going to have them start writing down everything he eats. I think he might be allergic to something that they are feeding him. We're sort of at a loss for ideas. Lucas qualified for a program here in Provo called PEEP. They will send a Speech Therapist and a Physical Therapist once a month to work with him. It's nice to have programs like this. We had a lady named Marianne from Welcome Baby come for his first year. It's amazing all the programs that want to help when you have a premie baby.
You'll all be happy to know that Jed applied for graduation this week. I am extremely happy about it! He'll be glad when the semester is over. We've decided that our house is getting extremely small these days. Homes are so expensive, so we are thinking about building one. Maybe within the year! Of course it's all still talk.
