I tricked him into smiling big for the computer camera. Now you can see just how adorable it is. He's started giggling when you play "pat-a-cake", but didn't want to show off today.

Little Brothers...

Last weekend Lucas was gone to EFG (Especially for Grandkids) with his grandpa and grandma Valentine. The rule is you have to be potty trained to attend and that makes him the only grandkid who got to go. Of course he loves being the only one! They spent all day Saturday at Lagooon riding rides and swimming.

While he was off playing, me and the other two were having our own fun. I had the material out so we tied it around our heads. Kodes had to make sure Ryker had one on his head too. They looked so cute together. This was a moment of nice brotherly love, so I thought I should document!





This week Lucas also started preschool (pictures to come) so while he was gone, we got out the camera again. It's hard to resist such cute little faces.







Happy 3 Month Birthday Ryker! I can't hardly believe that's it's been three months. You are such an angel. You sleep through the night (most nights), you take good naps during the day. You love the swing... even if you are a little to heavy to make it swing all the time. You smile so big and just the other day I tickled your armpit and you let out a little giggle. You aren't to fond of tummy time, but when you are on your tummy you've started to move yourself in a circle. You could eat forever and are so mad when I make you be done. I have to be careful though cause every once in a while, you'll spit it all back up. You love your brothers... from a distance. I think you can sense when you are being held by a little kid cause you instantly start crying! You love to tell stories to anyone who will listen. We are completely in love with you!

Cookin' with Reese

Yesterday we got to have Reese come play for a couple of hours. Oh my goodness, this girl is funny! She loves baby Ryker... cause he's "tuuute"! She loves to be very very close to him. She decided that the bumbo was built for two people and climbed right on top. She was making me laugh by repeating everything I said to Ryker in my baby talk voice.





Since Kody had just fallen asleep before she got here, I had to keep her occupied. I made Revel Bars and she was a big help in making sure the dough tasted just right!

Yesterday she told me, "I got a boogie, get it!"

My favorite boys... Ryker wasn't quite 2 months in this picture.

2+ months. He had his doctor appointment yesterday. He weighed 14.2 & measured 24.3 inches. All falling around the 75th percentile. He had 3 shots and wasn't afraid to let the nurse know how much it hurt!

One day I'm going to catch is adorable smile, but every time I get the camera out he hides the big smiles.

Update Blog

New Toy

A few weeks ago our neighbors asked us if we wanted a 4-wheeler that their boys had out grown. How could we pass up an offer like that??!! Lucas loves it! Kody's not so sure. He wants' to ride it, but hasn't figured out that if you keep your foot on the pedal, you aren't going to stop! It usually ends up scaring him and he wants off in about 30 seconds... which makes Lucas happy!!

Jess was down here last weekend and her and Lucas were having races down the road...

I will be making my blog private. I know it's a bit of an inconvience, but there are too many people stealing pictures of innoncent kids and using them on creepy websites. Chubba Wubba

This little man is growing right before our eyes. He turned 2 months last week. I can't believe it! His actual 2 month appointment isn't until next week and I'm anxious to see his stats. He's been doing pretty good at night averaging about 6 hours. Last night he slept 8 1/2. I'm hoping that becomes a trend, but not crossing my fingers. He's still sleeping in the cradle until we can do some room rearranging... again! Yesterday was his first experience in the bumbo. He was a bit of a bobble head, but I think he enjoyed it! He was all smiles until I got the camera out. He looked so darn cute sitting there, I may have been a bit picture happy!

He has a hernia behind his belly button that makes it poke out like that. The dr. said it should go away on it's own. If not, they'll do something about it around age 5. It doesn't seem to bother him.

Lucas took this picture. I thought he did such a good job and Ryker looked so cute, I had to include it.

I can't believe it's only been 7 years. It feels like we've know each other forever. Oh wait... we have!

For our anniversary this year we went to the George Strait concert on the 17th. (Hence all the lyrics in my love note!) It was nice to leave the kids home with Grandpa and Grandma Valentine. Our first date together in a long time! We met my parents & Jess for dinner and then carpooled out to USANA. We were a bit late since traffic was horrendous. Missed most of Julianne Hough. We did see Blake Shelton though.

We had a blast! Watching people get drunk is quite entertaining. It was even more entertaining to watch Jed and Nappy pretend they were wasted! Good times. We were about as far away from the stage as you could possibly be, but still enjoyed listening to George... and we didn't even need ear plugs! He's a very classy perform and it's not often you attend a concert where everyone just stands (or sits) and just listens with only an occasional whoop and a holler!

Birthday Party

Saturday was Kody's birthday party with the family. Kody, Lucas & Reese did a little swimming in our blow up pool before hand.

Lucas started saying his head and tummy hurt. Which really means, "get a bowl next this kid, he's going to puke sometime before the nights over." He fell asleep on the couch and in no effort to prove us wrong, threw up twice over the course of the evening. We go through this about once a month. It's great fun! The doctor thinks he gets migraines, which are in the stomach for kids. It's definitely a possibility given the history of headaches in my family. My dad has them more often than not. Not wanting feel left out, I also had a headache almost every day of my life when I was growing up. They got a little better when I cut my long luscious locks. Now I only get them on occasion... and when I do, I know it's time for a another hair cut!! Hopefully Lucas won't have to go through it the rest of his life. Saturday was a hot day and I'm sure being out in the sun didn't help. Poor kid, he ended up missing the entire party and slept until the following morning... 13 hours! At least he was feeling much better.

As for the party... Jed grilled yummy chicken and brats. Kody was such a character while opening his gifts. This is when I wish I had a video camera. Everything he opened he also had to put on... his 2 new pair of sunglasses, a Car's hat, his new crocs. We had rainbow chip cupcakes and ice cream. He blew out his candles like a pro.
