WOW...

You only see about 20 percent of a humpback whale above water. Imagine if you could see all of it!!

If you look to the left hand side of the picture, you can see two dolphins riding along the boat.

Humpbacks use their tail to propel back into the water on a dive. It's huge!

We even got to see them breach the water. It was so cool. They come straight out of the water. Unfortunately I didn't see much of that because I was trying to watch Lucas. I did get to see it a couple of times. Tawnya will have some more video on her blog that's really fun.

A Day at Sea...

Friday we went to Gloucester to do some whale watching (girls) and deep sea fishing (guys). We all had a blast. The guys left on their boat about a half hour before we did.

The people on the boat fillet them for $1.00, which is really nice. This is what was for dinner that night. I even tried it. It wasn't bad.


















We went to Rockport to eat lunch. They have a lot of shops that you can buy things at.

A Day in Boston

This was a street that Paul Revere walked down. It's now called an alley. I love the cobblestone roads everywhere.

On Saturday we went to Boston to see the sites. I can't believe how far we walked. People in Boston walk everywhere since there are hardly any places to park. What's funny is that they walk right in front of cars! We drove by Fenway park, but didn't stop. A game was going to be starting and they were playing the Yankees! Shara and Aaron are great guides. We saw a lot of historical and not so historical things. It's a little bit to crowded for me. We walked around some of the vendors and bought us each something.

The Freedom Trail is a tour that takes you around a lot of the historical sites in Boston. Our tour guide was dressed up and told about many of the events that took place. Although it was a bit long, it was still interesting to see all of the sites. Some of the sites were the graveyard where Paul Revere, John Hancock, and Mother Goose are buried, the oldest building/road in Boston, Paul Revere's home, Boston Massacre site, etc.

Boston Commons

Boston Commons is like a miniature central park. People come to walk, jog, or just hang out.

I had to take this picture. On our way back through the park, the group had liked tripled in size. I didn't get a picture of that though.

This is Shara's favorite place to eat. It's italian food. All of the food was really good. She had talked up the Butternut Squash Ravioli so much that we had to try it. It was delicious. It's so funny because the restaurants are very little and seat maybe 20 people. Crazy!

Last Day...

I can't believe our trip has come to an end. It was so much fun. On Sunday we walked down by the Merrimack River in Lowell. It's extremely pretty. The mills are now full of studio condos. Shara and Aaron about bought one of them in the picture above. We were going to go to Sharon, Vermont, on Sunday but Landon had an unexpected golf size infection form in his cheeck. We figured it was better that he find a doctor. We played games and learned a new card came called Hand and Foot. I think we all really liked it.
Yesterday we packed and got ready to fly home. Luckily Lucas slept on both flights which made it nicer. I think we were all exhausted.

Siding...

This is the back of our house...all sided. The inside is all mudded and ready for paint. It will be really interesting to see all the changes that happen during our trip to Boston.

Wind

While I was gone to Honeyville on Monday, a wind storm came up and blew this huge branch out of our tree. We thought that Jed was going to have to get out his chain saw. Lucky for us, Provo City came and hauled it way today.

Yard Sale

Last weekend we had our yard sale. Chad and Alicia also brought stuff over. We didn't sale everything that we had hoped to, but we made more than what we started with. The rest of the stuff we hauled straight to the D.I. I didn't want it back in the house!! Lucas and Carter were matching, so I tried to take their picture together. As you can tell, neither one wanted to be near the other one. It was pretty funny. Lucas also had fun climbing up the first step of the ladder and then he was to chicken to step down so he would just stand there. I'm so happy to have it over with. I couldn't believe how much junk that we had.



I went home to Honeyville on Monday to pick up Jed's brown belt that he needed. My dad was making it for him. It's much cheaper to do it that way than buy one in the store and it looks just as good! Thanks Dad! I didn't get to stay very long, but it was fun anyways. I was going to help my mom do corn, but it wasn't quite ready. I did stop and see Desi, one of our friends from High School. Her and her husband just had twins, Stuart and Wesley. They are sure cute.
I'll be up their in a few weeks (After Boston) to help with my dad's booth at the fair. I thought it would be fun for Lucas to watch the parade, but he might get to be in it since my mom has to pull the volleyball team in my dad's truck! We'll see what happens.



Last night we drove out to Spanish Fork again. The house is all sheetrocked and I think they are going to tape and mud today. I can't believe how fast it's coming. Our closing date looks to be September 8th or 11th. They want to close before Jed leaves for Milwaukee. Hopefully that will also mean that we'll have the keys and I can do a few things while he's gone. I would really like to paint, etc.

We leave for Boston in less than a week (next Tuesday). I can't believe it's finally here. I have to start making a list of everthing we're suppose to take. Shara has made several requests, so we might just have a suitcase with her stuff only! We are all getting pretty excited.

We drove out to our home tonight. It was the first time we had seen it since the storm a few days ago. Luckily nothing had happened to it. They did pour the drive way and the front and back porch. It's coming along quite nicely.

The other night we went to check out our new home. Things are moving right along. All of the electical is done and most of the plumbing. It's so fun to see it come together. I didn't get a picture of the outside cause it was raining cats and dogs. We decided to check out the "crawl space" underneath the house. It will make excellent storage. It's at least 8 feet tall. Too bad they don't let you use it has a basement. Kellie, who I worked with, and her husband Mike stopped by while we were there. They had dug their hole that day. We won't live to far from each other.
Yesterday was a huge storm here in the Provo area. Hopefully our home is still in tack. I think we'll drive out there tonight to look at it...maybe!

4 Wonderful Years...

I wasn't sleeping very good, so I thought I would get up and write on the blog. Today is our 4 year anniversary! I can't believe how fast it has gone by. It seems like we've been together forever. It's hard to picture what life was like before we were married. I sure do love Jed and I'm grateful that he puts up with me. I'm not always the easiest person and I'm sure he can attest to that. I'm so blessed to have him in my life. He's a wonderful husband and dad. I'm grateful for the principle of eternal families and that we will always be together. Happy Anniversary Love!!

Sunday BBQ

Last night we had a BBQ at our house. We had several friends over. It was the first time we had actually had a BBQ in our backyard. The dogs were always out before so we never used the backyard. The weather was nice and cool. We cooked chicken, hamburgers, and hotdogs. We have such a great time with our friends. Hopefully we get to keep that friendship when we move to Spanish Fork. I've tried to talk them in to moving out there too! Chad and Alicia are looking into Santaquin.
I think I have most of our stuff ready for the yard sale. Tawnya is going to help me with it on Saturday. Jed has a ball game so he won't be much help. We aren't sure what time it's at though. It's the tournament and it's single elimination. Hopefully they play good.
