Tis the Season...

Okay...so you could say that I have way to much time on my hands. When I should be doing other things, such as cleaning my house, making dinner, folding laundry, etc. I find myself caught up in making our family Christmas card. That's right...I have been thinking about Christmas!! Shara showed me some websites of people who make these card templates for peope to buy from them. I figured I could do it myself. Of course I'm not a professional by any means, but I think they have turned out quite cute. The fun part is waiting to see which one gets sent to your front door!! It's a good possiblity that it's not any of these!!

Oh Honeyville....

This past weekend we took a trip up to Honeyville. My mom came down on Thursday to take Lucas and I back with her. Jed, Tawnya and Landon all came up on Friday after work. On Thursday, we helped pick pumpkins (scroll down for pictures). Lucas was all about helping. He loves going up to Grama & Grampa's because he gets to see all the animals. My dad put a belt buckle on an old belt that use to be Jessica's. Every time he sees it he says "grampa", because he thinks it's just like his!!

When Jed got up there on Friday, he was so excited to go fishing. We drove out to the Honeyville pond just as the sun was setting. We had only be there about 10 minutes when he got a bite. We could see lots of fish jumping, but most were really quite small. We were shocked when he reeled in a rainbow trout about 16 1/2 inches long (see picture on next post). This gave them some hope for Saturday since my dad, Landon, Nappy and Jed were all going. On Saturday, everyone caught a fish and some caught two!! Jed and my dad cooked them on Sunday and said they were quite tasty. I wouldn't know!!

While they were off fishing, we decided to make some scripture bags. They are so darn cute. I haven't sewed for such a long time, so it was kind of fun to do it again.

I love going home to visit and getting to spend time with my mom and dad and even Nappy!! It's always a bonus when Landon and Tawnya get to come too. Thanks everyone for a great weekend. Love you all!

Sort of a Pumpkin Patch

My parents had a garden this year and planted a pumpkin plant. It produced tons of pumpkins. So this weekend, when I was home, we picked them. Lucas had a great time carrying the little ones around and attempting to carry the big ones. He was so fun to watch. Jess had it in her head that we should also carve them. I haven't got that roll developed yet, but we had a fun time doing it. You can check out Tawnya's blog for more fun pictures.

When You're the Best of Friends...

Yesterday Lucas and I got to watch baby Carter. He is so cute. Lucas loves to play with him. He's even practiced saying his name "arrto". He hasn't quite figured out the "r" sound at the end of words so it becomes an "o". Here are some pictures of the two of them. Too Cute!!

Cabin Fever

As I had mentioned earlier...we went to Jed's cabin for the weekend. We had a great time hanging out with family. We haven't all been together for awhile. We left on Friday and it rained like cats and dogs all the way there. It was even hailing on the mountain. We also saw some lighting strike right in front of the car. That was pretty freaky! Lucky for us, Friday was the only day it rained and the rest of the weekend was beautiful.

The men had a nice "all day" adventure of fishing on Saturday. Shane was the only one who caught any fish.

Shane and Talease brought with them their dog Duce. He stands about as tall as Lucas, but is really gentle. Lucas really liked to play with him, and Duce was especially interested in watching Lucas. Lucas thought it was fun to lay down on grass (and mud) when Duce did. As soon as Duce would stand up, Lucas would too.

We also had a new family picture taken. I don't have all of the pictures yet, but this is one of just the girls. It's like pulling teeth to get the guys to cooperate. They are worse than Lucas!!

We had a great time playing games, eating lots of good food and junk food, and spending time as a family.

Growing Like A Weed.....

Fishy Face

Lucas is growing up so fast. I can barely believe that he'll be two in two months. It has gone by so quick. He's getting extremely smart. He knows lots of animal sounds including...dog, cat, duck, elephant, lion, cow, horse, sheep, pig (this one is very cute), chicken, snake, etc. etc... He also says "anda"(panda), "carboo", "hippo", "ingo" (flamingo). Notice that these are all animals that we see very frequently!!! Thanks to Baby Noah and Baby McDonald and Nemo (refer to last picture). If I had my camera I would record these for you all to see. Too bad!

Time flies by...

As you may have noticed, it's been a few weeks since my last update. In the process of moving, I have misplaced my digital camera. I have searched high and low, and in every box/tote that I have still lingering at our home, but have yet to come across it. To make a long story short, I don't have any pictures to show off. I did started using my film camera more, and will hopefully have some fun pictures printed tomorrow.

We are now officially in our new home. We have so much space now that we don't have enough furniture to fill it. Our downstairs is completely empty. I did order some barstools on Friday though. I'm slowly getting all the boxes unpacked and the house in a little bit of order. Jed finished making the dog houses and dog runs. Duke and Rocky are much happier to have a place to sleep. Suprisingly, the dogs have hardly barked while we've been here.

We just got back from a weekend at Jed's cabin down south. It was fun to get together since we haven't all been together for quite awhile.
